New drone user- can someone give me the rundown of the pros/cons of a cheap/expensive FPV all-in-one kit?

Obviously the more expensive option is the DJI FPV... but then I see things like the Emax all-in-one kit...a lot less money. the video quality is obviously garbage.

But If I'm just looking for an out of the box FPV experience... what are the exact benefits of going with some high end pre-made company?

From what I read of the less expensive drone, you may have to actively work on keeping its altitude? like actively pressing on the "gain" trigger? This reminds me of helicopters in Battlefield 1942 Desert Combat mod...\
