I was thinking about buying a $100 - $200 dollar toy drone just to get the hang of things, and later buying a capable beginner drone (like a Mavic 2).
But, from what I can tell, toy drones do not fly anything like a good beginner drone. They are very different and starting with a toy would be a waste of time. Yes? I've never flown a UAV before and don't know anyone that has one to try. I've no plans to do professional work, so a good beginner drone would satisfy my needs for a long time.
Should I buy a toy drone first, or start with a good beginner drone?
EDIT. Another question: If I have a license but the spouse does not, can she pilot the drone if I'm right there supervising?
