Beginner remote advice

I really want to start fly fpv.

In my research, I fond many statements saying that you should start first in a simulator, but, for what I could read, the simulators are only usable if you have a remote.

So, I want to start my purchase list with a remote.

I want something that won’t break the bank, doesn’t limit to much my choice of drone in the near future and doesn’t lose a lot of resale value ( if I conclude that drones aren’t for me)

What should be my budget and what models should I look ?
