Heya, I'm having a time of my life flying my DJI Mini 2. However, editing the footage to have something shareable is really time consuming and the result is so-so. I know I can do better.
This is what I was able to accomplish https://photos.app.goo.gl/eAstbTmgyy855GrT9 (HD) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RQ0Uq3QB1Ta8YvIl_vzXttRcvvOGFEUX/view?usp=sharing (4K) with iMovie, it took me about 7 hours to select, trim, adjust speed and transitions. The original footage was 5h long.
iMovie is not bad, but maybe there is something different for free, not 4 commercial use, I'm not even publishing it on YouTube. Maybe even iMovie has some extra functionality hidden in menus and I couldn't find it? I'm not a pro editor, so I don't even know how this is called in technical jargon.
Basically the functionality I would love to have is as follows: Once you selected the music, I would like to listen to it very carefully. By doing so I'm selecting perfect moments for changing shots. Between these points the edition software creates placeholders. All I have to do is to fill the placeholders with my shots - simply select clip - its range and speed to fill the fixed duration placeholder with most breathtaking scene.
At this moment I'm doing it manually and it's very tidious. Sometimes there are milliseconds to trim to match with the music - but iMovie doesn't let me do such tiny adjustments. Or if I decide to modify something at the beginning of my video - I'm risk ruining my "sync" to the ending part.
Appreciate!!!
