FAA Changes - Confusing to navigate

So new drone laws went into effect April 21st and I'm trying to understand what's changed. For reference I'm a Part 107 operator who's had my certificate for 6 months so my test was considered the "old" test.

From what I've gathered off the FAA's website;

Because both my DJI Air 2 and Mini 2 are commercially registered, they both have to have remote ID on whenever I fly, regardless if I'm flying recreationally.
I no longer have to take a recurrent test every 2 years, but instead a safety training.
This one I'm a little confused on. If I want to be able to do night operations, I have to retake the knowledge test online so that my Part 107 is the most current iteration?

I have a friend who flies recreationally with a Mini 2, and I'm also trying to help them understand some of the changes that will impact them. Please correct me if any of these are incorrect.

They do not have to opt in to remote ID because they're recreational.
They do have to register with FAA Drone Zone.
In the near future they'll have to take "Recreational Safety Test (TRUST)"? Can't find much info on this.

Appreciate any clarification.
