So, I decided to dive head first into making a drone. Bought an FrSky controller, 3d printed the body, soldered the motors to a board and everything. In the apex of my feeling of accomplishment, I got magical smoke on the controller... and had a wire randomly fall out of a motor... and had another motor seize up.... So, after the magic smoke, I took it that I probably running before I could walk on this one. Maybe I should learn to fly first.
This is where I am stumped: Does anyone have a suggestion on a good drone that I can start with and also have the opportunity to do more advanced programming and work in preparation for diving into building again later? I already have the FrSky controller, most beginner drones have controllers that come with them it seems. I am also completely open to being told just start with a DJI or something.
I feel like I went too deep right at the beginning and am not sure where to go to reset this adventure. Any suggestions welcomed!
