Using a drone, we were able to capture the impressive Hormaz Castle in Soria
At DronProfessional.com, we don’t forget to rest. Rest is exercise when your body asks you to relax to do something you enjoy and free your mind. In this case, we decided to grab a drone (our Phantom 4 Pro 2.0) and a car and visit a magical place that we were told about and where we can fly: Gormaz Castle (Soria), a fortress of Arab origin, perched on top of a hill bordering the Duero, in a safe no-fly zone we were told. We also know of many other beautiful landscapes of Soria that we do not know, so we left with the idea of coming back for more.
What was our surprise when we saw that not only was the fortress impressive, but that the cold and early morning allowed us to enjoy the beautiful frozen landscape, from Riaza to Hormaz, passing through the charming city of San Esteban de Hormaz and other beautiful roads: not only did we enjoy flying, but the whole way from leaving the highway to arriving at the castle was full of beautiful scenery worth driving.
The fortress in question dates back to the 10th century when it was built on the remains of a pre-existing castle, making it the largest Arab fortress built in Europe, and it changed hands several times before being rebuilt in the 15th century. m century was used as a prison of the century.
But why describe what we can show? We wanted to share on YouTube what this castle looks like from the air, without a doubt the view is more impressive than we can describe:
