just got a drone. How do I start flying?

I just got a drone and I don't need to register it but I was wondering what are the steps for me to start flying?

I watched a lot of videos and read about it online. But I am still not sure. Some people say we are allowed to just take off. Others say to use the kitty hawk app to get authorization on advance. Some videos are saying I can just turn on dji fly app and check all the boxes if a warning shows up and continue.

I tried using the kitty hawk app and it works for a restricted area next to my home but only limits to 50ft and I can only schedule flights during the day. When I tried a different area it kept telling me laanc authorization failed but on the dji app I was able to fly with no warnings.

So what is the right way of doing things? Am I supposed to use the kitty hawk app for pre authorization before taking off. Also how can I get approval to fly the drone at night.

I also live in a blue zone and every time I try to use the drone it asks me to confirm that I am authorized to fly there and once I confirm I can fly it there.

Can anyone helpt with what is the correct way of how to get the authorization and how can I get it for night time?
